  • Two Gentlemen of Verona is a short story about two boys’ greatness.
  • The two boys strive to help their ill sister.
  • Two boys were brothers namely Nicola and Jacopo.
  • Nicola was 13 years old and Jacopo was nearly 12 years old.
  • One day the author bought a very big basket of strawberries from the boys.
  • Later the author saw the boys’ shining shoes, selling fruit, selling newspapers, conducting local tourism, etc…
  • The author was impressed with the boys hard work.
  • The author did not know what the boys were doing with the hard-earned money.
  • One day as per Nicola’s request, the author drove the brothers to a tiny village called Poleta.
  • The author was told by a nurse that the boys faced untold misery due to war.
  • Their sister Lucia was suffering from tuberculosis.
  • So, they earned money to pay for the medical fee.
  • Finally, the author was moved by the boy’s nobility.
  • The two boys sacrificed their childhood pleasure and life for their beloved sister.
  • Moral: Noble Sacrifice gives us pleasure.
