A Day In 2889 Of An American Journalist

   The future will be in the hands of technology. 

   This story takes place on 25th July 2889 Francis Bennett was the Managing Editor of the Earth herald , the world’s largest newspaper. Science optical technology is a tool that allows people to communicate their news from one planet to another planet.His wife had gone to France eight days back .so, Francis left to felt lonely .

   He switched on phonotelephote .The telephone, completed by the telephone is  another of our time’s conquests! Through the transmission he saw his wife.Then he got ready without the help of an attendant , by switching on a button on the mechanised dressing room.A man’s personal male attendant , who is responsible for his clothes and appearance .valet is the personal Robot for Francis Bennett. 

   The machine deposited him washed, shaved,shod, dressed and buttoned from top to toe on the reporters room and enquired about its proceedings . He got news from one of his astronomers about the new planet ‘Gandini’. It is at a distance of 12,841,348,284,623 metres and 7 decimetres that this planet describes it’s orbit round the sun in 572 years, 194 days ,12 hours, 43 minutes, 9.8 seconds. 

  Then he travelled to his accumulator works at Niagara, inspected them and returned to centropolis by 5’o clock. At the waiting room of the Earth herald , he received different proposals from audience . Out of these, two young men’s proposals were brilliant. So he engaged them at his office . During his meals, he asked his wife through phonotelephote communication when she would come back . 

   His wife replied that she was starting from Paris  ‘tube’. Submarines tubes, by which one travels from Paris in two hundred and ninety-dieb minutes , are much preferable to the  aero- trains , which only manage six hundred miles an hour. Finnally, he got tired and touched a button to take a bath.

   Advanced Technology is as thrilling as from magic.
